Kylix

 

Attica, Greece, 475–450 BCE

Site: Panticapaeum (Kerch)

 

Terracotta-coloured ceramic clay. Black glazed kylix with a broader, cup-shaped body terminating in a straight mouth. Horizontal handles gently upturned to rim level. The upper foot seamlessly transitions into the base with a concave (Vicup) foot at the bottom. Reserved clay-coloured bands inside the handles and along the base of the cup.
